DESCRIPTION: The resurrection of Jesus Christ is perhaps one of the most widely debated historical facts ever. This is understandable given its fundamental nature and importance to Christianity. The apostle Paul clearly admits this fact in 1 Corinthians 15 when he says, "And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain and your faith is in vain." However, our hope remains very much intact as even the contemporary enemies of Jesus Christ corroborate the ressurection by their seeking to cover it up. Ravi Zacharias points out that if this were a scam, they could have went the easier route and claimed that Jesus was 'spiritually' raised from the dead, but they clearly believed that he bodily raised from the dead and appeared to as many as 500 people at one time. Surely Jesus followers would not hold to a lie that would ultimately result in their dying a martyr's death. Jesus Christ is risen indeed, just as he said.
